Bernece Berkman - Hunter (1911-1988)

Berkman-Hunter began her early artistic studies with two of Chicago's important early modernists, Todros Geller and Rudolph Weisenborn.

Their collaboration would expose her to the tenets of Cubism and Expressionism, and encourage her exploration of the geometricized Fauvism that would become her signature style, with its angular shapes, compressed space, vibrant color, and distorted forms.
