As a third generation art collector, co- founder of the Fortress Corporation and founder of Levis
Fine Art, Ive had the
pleasure of working with collectors, corporations, artists estates and museums for over 40 years.
Levis Fine Art, Inc. specializes in the identification, acquisition and sale of Pre and Post-War
modernist paintings and
sculpture. We offer high quality works by artists who were respected by their peers and by museums,
but are still
relatively unknown to most collectors.
I established Levis Fine Art to offer my clients quality works by some of these artists along with
works by many of their
more recognized peers. Our inventory of fine works by well recognized artists includes Elaine de Kooning,
Jose de
Rivera, Dorothy Dehner, Leon Polk Smith, Grace Hartigan, Ibram Lassaw, Irene Rice Pereira, Hedda Sterne,
De Hirsch
Margules, Budd Hopkins, James Rosati, Albert Wein, N.A., Rolph Scarlett, Yvonne Thomas and Francisco
Zuniga.
In addition to offering private viewings in our Westchester location, we recently opened a gallery
on Nantucket at 44
Main Street. We will be exhibiting works by Pre and Post-War Modernists through early December and have
an exciting
exhibition schedule planned for this summer. We hope that you will be able to join us.
Whether youre interested in acquiring one painting or building a collection, we strive to make
sure that each acquisition
is not only visually and emotionally rewarding for you, but also can be viewed as an intelligent wealth-preservation
asset that should appreciate over time.
That same level of client commitment applies when we assist in selling works for you. We pride
ourselves in achieving
excellent results on behalf of clients seeking to sell works, eliminating the risks and delays inherent
with selling at
auction.
Please view our website to get a glimpse of some of the artists works we currently have available
and a more
complete overview of how we can serve you best. All works shown are subject to prior sale. We
look forward to
working with you in the near future.
