While Europe has embraced sculpture for centuries, modern American sculpture continues to be one of the best kept secrets for collectors. It was the artist's authentic expression, dimensionalized. The demands of expressing in three dimensional form presented the sculptor with both physical and financial challenges that far exceeded those of painters. This exhibition contains several strong examples of modernist sculpture by William Zorach, Ibram Lassaw, Dorothy Dehner, Albert Wein, Cabot Lyford, James Rosati, Tony Rosenthal, Jose de Creeft, Anita Huffington and Raymond Rocklin.
